Ortho k lenses could be a great way to relieve the problem of
dry eyes associated with contact lenses.
Anyone who wears contact lenses will likely be aware of the difficulties of
dry eyes.
One London woman named Beth wrote to the Times in 2007 to find out what she could do about the difficulties her contact lenses were causing her.
She also highlighted that, as a sports player, glasses were not appropriate.
Dr Thomas Stuttaford suggested that Beth should see an optometrist to try and find a solution for the irritating problem.
However, there is one option that he omitted to suggest - that of ortho k lenses.
As they are worn at night, the eye is free during the day meaning that wearers are unlikely to suffer with problems such as
dry eyes.
Ortho k lenses help to gently reshape the cornea while the wearer is asleep, which could have been a great help to someone such as Beth, relieving her of the associated problems that
dry eyes can lead to.
