Glasses can be an irritating burden and for many and choose alternatives such as ortho k lenses.
However, it appears that there are those who want to keep hold of their specs for times when they want to appear professional.
New research by optics company Ciliary Blue has found that some people are turning to glasses for interviews because they think they to make them look reliable and smarter.
Chris Tomlinson, lab manager at the company, said: "Impressions count and glasses have always been associated with intelligence and earnestness.
"Whether they really do increase someone's chances of getting hired would be interesting to know."
Ortho k lenses could be a great option for the casual glasses wearer who wants to avoid
laser eye surgery.
The overnight
vision correction lenses help to restore the shape of the cornea so that
natural vision returns to the wearer.
However, by simply not wearing them for one night or so vision will return to normal and glasses wearers could wear their specs should they so choose.
If you want to keep hold of a beloved pair of glasses, ortho k lenses could be for you.
