A short-sighted Bury woman has sung the praises of
orthokeratology lenses after trying them earlier this year.
Li-San Heap told the Bury Times of a situation many find themselves in; she was struggling with staring at a computer for eight hours a day and needed help.
Noting that glasses were inconvenient and she was unable to play sport in them, Ms Heap tried contact lenses.
"If I wore them too long in the day, my eyes would get too dry and sore," she noted.
It was
ortho k that helped her restore her
natural vision.
"After the first night of wearing the ortho k lenses I was shocked at how well it worked in just one night - it was brilliant," she told the newspaper.
"My eyes now feel so much healthier and it has changed my life. I just pop my specially tailored lenses in and night and take them out when I wake up and I can see throughout the day."
Just last month, a woman from Ripponden told the Halifax Evening Courier about how ortho k lenses helped her see normally and claimed them to be "amazing".
