The boss of a taxi firm is able to see again thanks to eye laser surgery.

Arnie Singh had the £3,000 procedure done at the Sheffield Vision Centre, the South Yorkshire Star newspaper reported.

However, speaking to the publication, Mr Singh suggested that the reason for his decision to undertake eye laser surgery was because he was "sick of waking up in the morning" and having to put on contact lenses.

Although the surgery gave him "pretty much 20/20 vision", he could have utilised a cheaper and safer option instead – ortho k contact lenses.

Since undertaking the procedure, Mr Singh has encouraged friends to do the same.

People who are sick of putting in contact lenses in the morning will find that they can avoid the problem with ortho k contact lenses as it is the morning that they are taken out.

The contact lenses are worn overnight and once awake, they are taken out to leave the wearer with perfect natural vision.

They are a great alternative to the risks of eye laser surgery, which can include anything from ghosting to bright lights should the procedure go badly.

Ortho k contact lenses allow people to be free of daynight contact lenses and spend the majority of the day with clear vision and without the stresses and strains of glasses.

If you are concerned about the effects of eye laser surgery on your long term eye health, orthokeratology contact lenses could be the alternative solution.
