Sports star Mike Crowell is hoping he will see
eyesight improvements after missing the last British Basketball League (BBL) match due to an eye injury, reports the Scotsman.
The Glasgow Rocks forward was forced out of the clash with Worthing Thunder after he was gouged in the eye at the Rocks' loss to Worcester the previous week.
He was subsequently banned from wearing contact lenses by doctors and was unable to start on Sunday (February 7th).
Glasgow Rocks coach Sterling Davis told the news provider: "He's supposed to not wear them for two weeks and because of the scratch, his vision's pretty blurry. So that's going to be a loss for us against Worthing."
In the event, the Rocks were able to record a strong victory over the Thunder, winning by 106 points to 68 even without the 6 ft 7 ins American from Florida.
Contact lenses can easily fall out or get scratched during sports and glasses can break or fall off.
Ortho K contact lenses are a way of providing
eye correction without this discomfort.
The over night contact lenses are worn while asleep when they bring
eyesight improvements and are removed during the day, resulting in
eye correction.
Natural vision is vital for athletes of all levels and ortho K contact lenses can offer
eyesight improvements without the need for
corrective laser surgery.
Eye surgery has been used by some sports stars but is associated with complications such as those experienced by Tiger Woods and Justine Henin.
