Swedish golfer Robert Karlsson has returned to form after having a serious eye issue to win the sport's Qatar Masters.
The former European number one suffered a water blister behind his left eye after winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2008.
His 2009 season was badly affected by the condition which left him with blurred vision, a lack of balance and ruined depth-perception.
The 40-year-old was unable to gauge the flight of the ball, the distance of trees or even read a newspaper with his left eye.
On Sunday, though, he was able to beat British hope Lee Westwood to claim a three-stroke victory.
His final round was free of bogeys and he finished seven under par.
Karlsson was delighted with his victory but more so with the nature of it.
He said: "The focus this year was to come back and start to put together good rounds and then a string of good rounds. It's fantastic to win, but to play four really good rounds together, that's the most satisfying."
Natural vision is crucial for athletes at all levels, and many use ortho K contact lenses as a way of making sure blurred vision does not affect their sports performance.
Ortho k contact lenses are worn at night but removed during the daytime leaving the wearer with natural vision for up to 36 hours.
The over night contact lenses are a great alternative to glasses or conventional contact lenses which can get broken, lost or cause discomfort while playing sports.
