A mother from Chicago has suggested that ortho k lenses are ideal for
children.
Speaking from experience with her two young ones, Gail Tomal told Ostoicheye.com that her daughter could not get used to hard lenses and soft ones made her vision worse.
"The ortho k lenses have kept her vision stable, she has no trouble wearing them at night and she can swim, play tennis and be active without worrying about her contacts," Ms Tomal said.
"My younger daughter had never worn contacts of any kind before, but she adjusted to the
ortho-k lenses with no problem. I have recommended them to several friends with active kids," she added.
Overnight
vision correction lenses can be a great option for
children who want to avoid wearing glasses during the day or do not want to carry solution and lenses around with them at school.
Although they are not suitable for all eye problems, ortho k lenses can be a useful tool for those who are nearsighted or suffer from a slight astigmatism.
