Contact lenses for children are becoming big business for optometrists and provide an ideal solution for the rigours of childhood.
That is according to a
kids contact lenses specialist, who told a recent delegation of optometrists in London that the vast majority of youngsters are very happy with such a solution.
David Ruston was speaking at the Children's Eye Health event held in London on November 2nd.
He cited statistics indicating that in 97 per cent of cases children's contact lenses are well received.
"Why not offer your patients all of the options," he asked those in attendance, according to the website.
The conference also heard from City University's Caroline Christie, who explained that 17 per cent of five to 15-year-olds in Britain require children's vision correction.
With the practice of fitting
kids contact lenses becoming more prevalent, budding athletes could benefit from checking out
contact lenses for sport.
