30 day contact lenses 'can be a hassle for those with symptoms of dry eye'
Using 30-day contact lenses can work perfectly well for many people, but they can be a nuisance for some, it has been claimed.

Dr Tom Smith, talking to the Guardian, said that according to manufacturers, they let enough oxygen in to keep the eye healthy and also contain enough fluid to prevent dry eyes.

However, people who already have dry eyes, or forgetful people, should perhaps consider the pros and cons of them as they can cause dry eyes if used improperly or without the use of drops in some people.

Dr Smith told the news provider: "If you have especially dry eyes, you should use drops if you do plan to use these lenses. They last for up to 30 days, but must then be replaced."

If worn for longer than the prescribed time period, the contact lenses can become scratchy and irritate the eye so it is important to be religious with their usage.

There is always the possibility of dry eyes with contact lenses that are worn during the day as well as discomfort due to dirt or dust getting into them during activities such as sports matches.

Ortho K contact lenses are great for people suffering from the symptoms of dry eyes or people who do not want to wear contact lenses during the day for whatever reason.

Over night contact lenses are worn while asleep and taken out in the morning with the result of hassle-free, natural vision during the day without the need for any other form of vision correction.
