For contact lens wearers, i-GO OVC (that's Overnight Vision Correction) lenses are one of the most exciting things to happen for a long time.  Not new as such, as they have come over from the US, but select opticians here now have the vision to offer them.  Best suited to short sight with a prescription of up to -5.0, they are a non-surgical lens that you don at night to gently reshape your cornea.  In the morning you remove your lenses and after just one night you see an improvement in your vision.  They certainly worked for me.

For frequent flyers and active types, whether that be swimming or skiing, they provide relief from dry cabin eyes or the worry about losing a lens.  They also take away the need for expensive laser surgery.

Initial consultation, eye test, diagnostic design and fitting costs £250.  A direct debit of £59 includes annual sight-test, additional aftercare, replacement and spare lenses and cleaning solutions.
